What is Telangiectasia?

Telangiectasia also known as broken capillaries are vascular lesions, which refers to an area of damaged tissue cause by a disease or trauma. More specifically they are a small group of dilated blood capillaries sometimes in the form of spider veins.

What causes telangiectasia?

The most common cases of telangiectasia are caused by chronic exposure to the sun or extreme temperatures. This is because they usually appear on the body where skin is often exposed to sunlight and air. They can be found on the sides of the nose, or an surface area of the skin.

Solution/Treatment

Topical solution: lavender, echinacea, cucumber

Therapies: IPL, Laser Resurfacing
