Vascular Lesion Laser


  • Skin Care:

    • Keep the treated area clean and dry. Gently cleanse the area with mild soap and water.
    • Do not use abrasive or exfoliating products on the treated area until it is fully healed.
    • Avoid products containing alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs), glycolic acid, salicylic acid, benzolyl or retinoids.
    • Avoid physical exfoliants like scrubs with beads or rough textures.
    • Avoid astringents and toners with high alcohol content.
  • Managing Discomfort:

    • It’s normal to experience some mild discomfort, redness, or swelling after the treatment.
    • Avoid applying ice directly to the skin. Use a cloth as a barrier.
    • Apply a cool compress to the treated area for the first few hours post-treatment to minimize swelling.
    • If needed, take over-the-counter pain relief like acetaminophen. Avoid NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) if bruising is present.
  • Activity Restrictions:

    • Avoid strenuous activities for 24-48 hours post-treatment to reduce the risk of increasing swelling.
    • Stay away from hot baths, saunas, or steam rooms for the first 48 hours.
  • Sun Protection:

    • Protect the treated area from sun exposure. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
    • Cover the area with clothing or a bandage if necessary when going outdoors.
  • Avoiding Irritants:

    • Refrain from using harsh chemicals, perfumes, or any irritants on the treated area.
  • Observation:

    • It’s common to see a darkening of the treated vessels before they disappear.
    • Bruising may occur and can last up to two weeks.
  • Follow-Up Care:

    • Schedule and attend follow-up appointments as recommended by your healthcare provider.
    • Contact us immediately if you notice signs of infection such as increased pain, redness, or pus.
  • Long-Term Care:

    • Depending on your treatment plan, additional sessions may be necessary for optimal results.
