Avoid Sun Exposure: Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning (including self-tanners) for at least 4 to 6 weeks before treatment. Sunburned or tanned skin can adversely affect the treatment results and increase the risk of complications.

Skin Care Products: Do not use any products containing retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), or any other chemical exfoliants at least one week before the treatment. These ingredients can make the skin more sensitive.

Medications: Please inform the practitioner of all medications taken, including supplements. Some medications, such as antibiotics or hormones, can make the skin more sensitive to light and may need to be paused or managed differently.

Clean Skin: The treatment area should be clean and free of any makeup, creams, or lotions on the day of the treatment.

Shaving: If the treatment area is hairy, it’s usually recommended to shave it 24 to 48 hours before the treatment. Do not wax, pluck, or use depilatory creams, as these methods affect the hair follicle and could impact the treatment’s effectiveness.

Health Status: You should be in good health on the day of the treatment. If you have a history of cold sores or any skin infections, notify the practitioner beforehand.

Hydration: Being well-hydrated can enhance the treatment experience and recovery. We encourage to drink plenty of water in the days leading up to the treatment.
