Intimate Brightening Treatment Pre-Treatment Instructions
1 to 2 Weeks Prior
-
Stop aggressive hair removal: Avoid waxing, sugaring, threading, laser hair removal, and depilatory creams for at least 10 to 14 days before the appointment.
-
Pause active skincare: Discontinue the use of any retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and physical exfoliants on the treatment area 5 to 7 days beforehand.
-
Avoid sun exposure: Keep the area protected from UV exposure and skip tanning beds or self-tanners for at least a week prior.
24 to 48 Hours Prior
-
Shave the area: Shave the treatment area 24 to 48 hours before your appointment. Do not shave on the day of the treatment to avoid micro-tears, which can cause severe stinging or irritation during the chemical brightening process.
-
Prevent friction: Refrain from sexual activity and avoid wearing tight, restrictive clothing that causes friction for at least 24 hours before the session.
Day of Appointment
-
Arrive clean and bare: Ensure the treatment area is completely clean and dry. Do not apply any lotions, oils, creams, powders, or deodorants to the skin before coming in.
-
Dress comfortably: Wear loose, breathable cotton clothing and underwear to your appointment to prevent any friction or sweating immediately following the procedure.
