What is HIFU?
HIFU stands for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound. It is a non-invasive medical procedure that uses focused ultrasound waves to generate heat targeting specific skin layer. This technology allows precise targeting of tissues for therapeutic purposes without the need for incisions or anesthesia.
How Does HIFU Works?
During a HIFU treatment, a handheld device is used to deliver focused ultrasound energy to specific areas of the skin. The ultrasound waves penetrate through the skin’s surface and target the deeper layers of tissue, where they cause the tissue to heat up. This heat triggers a natural response in the body, causing the production of new collagen, a protein that gives the skin its elasticity and firmness.
